FCD Course: This Facilitating Career Development (FCD) Course is a 120-hour professional development program designed for professionals who assist individuals and groups with career exploration, job search preparation, and resources.
This FCD Course is designed for professionals who provide career development services for students and clients.
Audience for the FCD Course:
The FCD Course is designed for career development professionals, academic advisors, success coaches, assistant directors, directors, executive directors, higher education professionals, workforce development professionals, and professionals who are self-employed.
Purpose of the FCD Course:
The National Career Development Association's (NCDA) Facilitating Career Development (FCD) Course is designed to help professionals learn new skills, affirm existing skills, enhance credibility, and show dedication to the career development profession.
Cost of the FCD Registration Fee for the FCD Course:
$1500, per person, for the registration fee for the FCD Course.
Cost of the FCD Student Manual:
$275, per person, for the FCD Student Manual. The FCD Student Manual is purchased separately directly from NCDA's Online Career Resource Store. Individuals who are enrolled in the FCD Course have the option to purchase the FCD Student Manual in paper format or in digital format.
PAPER Format: PAPER FCD Student Manual (plus shipping and handling). The paper manual consists of standard 8 1/2 by 11 sheets of paper that are three-hole punched. When the paper pages arrive, please put the paper pages in your own three-ring binder.

Read the FCD manual.
View content in the FCD online platform and complete FCD activities (examples of FCD activities: introduction form, helping skills observation form, and additional activities to reinforce learning).
Complete the FCD Project. The FCD Project involves creating a needed, useful career resource that is relevant for your particular target audience.
Participate in FCD Meetings, (using Zoom or a similar virtual meeting tool).

This FCD Course includes online work (within a password-protected online course platform) as well as a series of FCD Meetings (using Zoom or a similar virtual meeting tool).

Optional Credentials for professionals who complete the FCD Course:
Upon successful completion of the FCD Course you will have the option to apply for credentials:
NCDA CCSP: Upon successful completion of the FCD Course, you will have the option to apply for the Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) credential issued by the National Career Development Association (NCDA). NCDA is a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
CCE GCDF: Upon successful completion of the FCD Course, you will also have the option to apply for the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) credential issued by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE), a subsidiary of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
Certificate of Completion for the FCD Course:
Upon successful completion of this National Career Development Association's (NCDA) Facilitating Career Development (FCD) Course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
