Facilitating Career Development Instructor (FCDI) Course

FCDI Course:

This Facilitating Career Development Instructor (FCDI) Course is intended for highly experienced career development professionals who wish to teach the National Career Development Association's (NCDA) Facilitating Career Development (FCD) course.


This FCDI course is designed for professionals who provide training and mentoring for fellow career development professionals.


Are you interested in teaching the National Career Development Association's (NCDA) Facilitating Career Development course? If so, consider submitted the FCDI Application to become a Facilitating Career Development Instructor (FCDI). 


FCDI Application:
Each FCDI Application will be carefully reviewed by NCDA Master Trainers. An acceptance (or non-acceptance) notification will be emailed to FCDI applicants within one week.

Cost of the FCDI Registration Fee for the FCDI Course: 

$1500, per person, for the registration fee for the FCDI Course. 


Cost of the FCDI Instructor Manual for the FCDI Course: 

$350, per person, for the FCDI Instructor Manual; this also includes the initial fee for the NCDA Instructor Registry. The FCDI Instructor Manual is purchased separately directly from NCDA's Online Career Resource Store. Professionals who are enrolled in the FCDI Course have the option to purchase the online access DIGITAL FCDI Instructor Manual or the PRINTED FCDI Instructor Manual (plus shipping and handling). The printed manual consists of standard 8 1/2 by 11 sheets of paper that are three-hole punched. When the paper manual arrives, please put the pages in your own three-ring binder.   


Cost of NCDA Fees associated with the FCDI Course:

$95 for NCDA Membership/Renewal, which is paid directly to NCDA

$100 for the NCDA CCSP credential application, which is paid directly to NCDA.  


Career Development Competencies - expectations for FCDI Candidates:

FCDI candidates are expected to have comprehensive knowledge of the following career development competencies:


Zoom Meetings for the FCDI Course: 

FCDI Candidates must commit to participating in virtual meetings, via Zoom, throughout the FCDI Course.


Time Commitment for the FCDI Course: 

It typically takes about 24 clock hours to complete the FCDI Course.


Technology Requirements for the FCDI Course: 


Certificate of Completion for the FCDI Course: 

Upon successful completion of the National Career Development Association's (NCDA) Facilitating Career Development Instructor (FCDI) Course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Additionally, upon successful completion of the FCDI Course you will have the option to apply for credentials:
